Exciting Times Continue At Barton Heights

2009 Overview
We are getting close to the finish of a very eventful year at our facility. In January, Dr. Craig Ott and Lynettee Ott (our practice manager) retired. Dr. Mark Burch stepped down as a practice owner. The reins were handed over to Dr. Jeremy Wentz. Dr Wentz brought with him experience in both daytime and emergency veterinary medicine. He also brought an ambition for our hospital to grow. Since March, we have been open seven days a week for regular appointments and emergencies. We have upgraded our computer system to help run more efficiently. We have also upgraded to a digital x-ray system for even greater ability to diagnose illness and injury. We have also formed Barton Heights Physical rehabilitation and Wellness Center. You may read about this new part of our hospital below. While there are many new things, what remains the same is our goal of providing the very best in pet health care, administered by caring and talented people.

Dental Months!
This year we are offering our dental special for two months rather than one. During the months of January and February there will be a 10% discount on all dental procedures. This includes all bloodwork and medication that relates to the dental procedure. Good dental health doesn't just give your pet a bright smile. It can also prevent problems with other organs like the heart, liver and kidneys. Please call soon while there are still appointments available.

Barton Heights Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center
We are please to announce that Dr. Jeremy Wentz and Dr Helen Crabtree have formed a new treatment center here at Barton Heights. Dr. Crabtree CCRP pending, will be here to treat pets that need therapy after surgery or injury. She will also be able to help with range of motion and physical conditioning. The centers' equipment includes an underwater treadmill, a therapy laser and several other pieces of specialized equipment for improvement of motion and conditioning. This service will be available to our clients as well as those of other area veterinarians. We look forward to seeing our patients get back to health as quickly as possible. Although the practice resides in Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital, it is a separate entity . The Goal of the Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is to offer rehabilitation for all area pets .
